We all use technology everyday.
But are we using it the right way!
Are we able to take the most out of it?
I know that most of you are not.
So, here are some technology hacks that are simple and as useful.
*There might be some hacks that you may already know..... Just SKIP it.
1)If you don't want to receive calls from someone but at the same time you don't want the person to know that you switched your phone off,what you can do is remove phone's battery without switching it off (this trick is not for non-removable battery phones).
The reason is that switching your phone off notifies the Mobile Switching Centre and the caller receives the message of the phone being switched off.
2) If your phone battery is low and you need it for later use then switching it off is a bad idea.
What you can do is put your phone on aeroplane mode as this will save more battery then switching your phone off and on.
This trick will help you to use your phone a bit more.
3) If you use airplane ticket booking websites or hotel booking websites frequently then this hack is for you.
What happens is these websites are tracking you they read your browser's history, cached data and much more. So when you again visit these websites big chances are you'll see a rise in prices.
So what's the solution.
It's easy.
You just need to turn your incognito mode on whenever visiting these websites.
4) Do you ever felt the need to edit the text present in any of your images?
Yes, now you can do it by using a browser extension called "Project Naptha" which lets you select, modify, copy, translate, erase the text present in images.
Now you can have images look the way you want to.
You can add additional info like websites name, your own name, or some other text.
Moving on.
5) If you downloaded any pdf file and its name is something like this "xyz.exe" ending with exe then high chances are that this is a virus.
So what should you do now?
You then upload that file or any file that you think can be having viruses to websites like 'VirusTotal' to check for viruses.
6) This hack is for those who have lost their cameras. Maybe you can extract some info about it. So there is a website called "Stolen Camera Finder" where you can upload an image clicked from that lost or stolen camera and it will show you if anyone is uploading images with the same serial number on the internet.
7) If you are on the desktop and your Chrome freezes and you are not able to close open tabs then you can use 'SHIFT + ESC' which opens Chrome built-in task manager.
8) You are writing an important email or SMS and it is still incomplete and filled with errors and by mistake or in a hurry you pressed the send button.
And then OMG :O
To avoid such incidents never write your recipients address first.
Create your mail first, proofread it and once you're sure then add the recipients name.
9) We all have some private files or data on our computer which we don't want to share with anyone.
So here is a method to create an INVISIBLE FOLDER to keep your private files.
Create a new folder and rename it by pressing "Alt" and at the same time enter "255" keeping "Alt" key pressed. Then hit enter, now you created a folder with no name.
To make it invisible right click on it go to properties and select an invisible icon.
That's it.
You can drag it to any corner and nobody will find it.
You can even make it more secure by adding a password I will tell about it later.
10) Watching YouTube and want to skip video a bit, press 1 for a 10% skip, 2 for a 20% skip, and so on.
11) Are you receiving a lot of spam emails?
Then for signing up for websites that you know you're not going to visit again or looks suspicious,
you can use a fake email address using a website called "10minutemail.com".
12) You are using your phone and it hanged. The screen freezed.
You wait till the phone is back to normal again or what you do is switching it off and on.
In this situation what you can do is use the charger and plug it in and your phone will be working again.
13) Many times we download softwares that give us free trial for a week or month.
If your software works offline then you can extend the trial period by just pushing back the date of your computer.
14) Want to check your flight status?
Simply put your airline and flight number in Google search and the top results will give you every detail you want.
Now you don't need to visit the website again and again.
15) Want to know all the movies playing in your nearby theatres.
Just search "Movies near me" and get all the details.
16) Now you can turn on your android's torch without touching your phone use "Ok Google" voice feature or press the mic button next to Google search bar and say 'Lumos' to turn on the torch. And to turn it off say 'Nox'.

17) Do you know your phone and computer IP addresses? If no then head over to Google and type "what is my IP" and it will show you.
18) For those of you who are using android, you might be using this little hack already but if you don't then use it now to slow down the degradation of your battery.
Go to WiFi then Advanced Options then disable scanning always available option. That's it.
19) You can increase your Laptop battery life. But how?
Here's what you need to do.
Never charge your Laptop to 100%
instead, charge it to just 80%.
The reason is the heating of your Laptop on charging to 100%. This will definitely increase your laptop's battery life.

20) Always have an emergency contact number on your phone's locked screen. If by chance you lost it and the person who found it wants to return, then it will be easy.
21) There is a website called "Futureme.org" that can help you to send letters to yourself in the coming future.
Maybe you want to wish yourself a happy birthday as there is no one to wish you then you can set it to do so :)
If there are some special people in our life and everytime you forget to wish at their birthdays and anniversaries so you know now what to do.
22) If you want to create step by step videos by recording your computer's screen then Windows has a built-in steps video recorder.
Just search for "Psr" on your computer.
23) We use our Laptops and Mobile phones hours and hours on end but do we know that their screen emits very harmful "Blue Light", damaging our eyes badly.
Now new devices are coming with built-in blue light prevention feature but if your device has no such feature then go to Google and search for blue light filter softwares or apps and download any one which you feel is the best.
I use "f.lux" on my pc, you can try there are many.
So, these were some technology hacks that I know and use and hope that you would have also found some new hacks.
